Review: Make-up Geek Pigments

REVIEW

PIGMENTATION: 9/10

These products put the pigment in pigmentation. I swatched these on clean skin without a base and they showed up perfectly. Some of these were INSANE as far as pigment (I'm looking at you Liquid Gold, Utopia and Insomnia) and the others were very pigmented. 

LONGEVITY: 8.5/10

Using an eyeshadow base is essential for long wear - especially when dealing with pigments. I used the same primer I used for all eyeshadow and these wore extremely well. Some of these had a bit of fallout during the day (New Year's Eve, Utopia) but that is quickly fixed by packing them well and using a setting spray. 

APPLICATION: 9.5/10

As with all pigments, you need to take your time. They went on smoothly and it didn't take more than two layers to build up colour opacity. Try packing these on with a stiff or flat brush. I have also combined some of these pigments with a mixing medium to create liners and they wear amazingly. Beautifully. Gorgeously. Just … you get the point.  

PACKAGING: 8/10

These pigments came in a large jar (yay for more grams of product!) and they came with a sifter separately so you have the option of putting in on the jar or not. I know that not everyone is a fan of sifters, but it seems that they just make dealing with pigments a lot easier. Placing the sifter on the jar was easy enough, just an extra step I'd rather avoid if need be.

OVERALL: 8.75/10

Liquid Gold - True Gold. Metallic.

Birthday Wish - Light Gold Peach. Shimmer.

Vegas Lights - True Copper. Glitter.

Enchanted - Light Plum. Shimmer. 

Utopia - Brown and Antique Gold. Hyper Metallic Glitter. My favorite!

Insomnia - Dark Brown with Teal Duochrome. Metallic. 

Top to Bottom:

Kryptonite - Moss Green. Shimmer.

Blitz - Medium Reddish Brown. Shimmer. 

Bewitched - Light Amethyst Purple. Shimmer. 

Afterglow - Champagne. Shimmer.
